How to complete the Drink Factory Simulator Prologue

The Drink Factory Simulator - Prologue is the free Steam training ground for Agosto Game Studio’s beverage empire sim (Prologue app 4738020). It covers the first four levels, enough to practice recipe discovery, Analysis Mode, production flow, and order pressure before the main Early Access launch on August 13, 2026 (main app 3913840). A separate Demo (app 4341340) also exists if you want another trial slice.

This walkthrough shows how to get through those four levels with good habits — not by pasting finished drink formulas. Handed recipes are not the fantasy here, and there are no official cheat codes. If you need system primers, keep Getting Started, Recipe Discovery, and Production Line open in extra tabs.

Before you press Start

  1. Install the Prologue from Steam (4738020) on a PC that meets minimum specs: Windows 10, i7-6700K or Ryzen 3 1200X, 4 GB RAM, GTX 960 4 GB, 8 GB storage.
  2. Skim Controls so interact/carry actions feel natural.
  3. Decide whether you are solo or inviting friends — online co-op allows up to three friends when you move into the full Steam experience; use Prologue to rehearse role talk even if you start alone.
  4. Create a blank notebook page titled “Prologue ratios.” You will thank yourself on level three.

Prologue goals across four levels

Exact map names can shift with patches, but the teaching arc is consistent:

Level 1 — Touch the loop

Learn movement, basic mixing, and the idea that formulas are yours to discover. Complete the smallest possible success: a tested mix that becomes something you can put on a pallet path toward delivery. Do not obsess over perfection; obsess over finishing the full chain once.

Focus checks: ratios that total 100% in Analysis Mode; finding the sterilize and fill steps; locating delivery gates without panic.

Level 2 — Respect Analysis Mode

The second level usually punishes guess-spam. Change fewer variables between tests, write down which ingredients read correct vs wrong, and only then scale volume. If an order exists, read quality expectations before you celebrate a mediocre score.

Focus checks: notebook discipline; stopping a bad batch before fillers multiply the mistake; comparing your habits with Recipe Discovery.

Level 3 — Balance the line

By now mix skill alone is not enough. Sterilize or fill becomes the bottleneck. Practice watching queues instead of camping one “fun” station. Pallet routes start to matter; a clean lab score can still fail if gates are starved.

Focus checks: upgrade or attention on the true bottleneck; aisle hygiene; the station order mix/blend → sterilize → fill → pallets → gates from Production Line.

Level 4 — Orders under pressure

The fourth level is where timers teach humility. You may juggle volume and quality while the day/night cadence keeps moving. Choose “good enough to ship” when the board demands it, then schedule a research block after cash lands. See Orders and Deliveries for gate-first thinking.

Focus checks: pilot batches before full commitment; early pallet staging; resisting infinite analysis spirals.

Step-by-step routine for every Prologue level

  1. Survey — Walk the floor once. Find analysis space, mix/blend, sterilize, fill, pallet staging, and delivery gates.
  2. Board read — Note drink family, quality, time, volume.
  3. Research block — Enter Analysis Mode with a single question; keep ratios at 100%; log feedback.
  4. Pilot — Tiny production run through sterilize and fill.
  5. Scale — Only after the pilot looks right.
  6. Deliver — Pallets to gates with clear paths.
  7. Debrief — Write one sentence about what actually bottlenecked you.

Run that routine four times and you have completed the Prologue the “right” way — ready for Early Access systems the developers describe as already core: discovery, production, orders, economy, workers, day/night.

Co-op in the Prologue mindset

Even when you practice solo, narrate roles you will use later:

  • Analyst owns the notebook.
  • Line lead owns sterilize/fill uptime.
  • Logistics owns pallets and gates.

When friends join the main game’s online co-op (up to three), you will already share vocabulary. Miscommunication, not machine tiers, ruins most first multiplayer nights.

What the Prologue is not

  • It is not the full Early Access career. EA is planned for roughly 6–12 months of growth after launch, with future ideas like store sales and open-world truck deliveries to port and airport hubs.
  • It is not a recipe wiki substitute. If someone dumps “complete cola percentages,” that content fights the design and goes stale when ingredients expand.
  • It is not console-command training. No official cheats.

Common Prologue failure modes

  • Skipping Analysis Mode because mixing “felt right.”
  • Ratios that do not sum to 100%.
  • Upgrading mix twice while sterilize overflows.
  • Leaving finished pallets parked far from gates.
  • Restarting levels instead of reading feedback after a near-miss score.
  • Spending too long chasing a perfect drink while a shippable score was already available.

After the fourth level

When you clear the Prologue:

  1. Wishlist or prepare to buy the main Steam app 3913840 for the 2026-08-13 Early Access drop.
  2. Optionally sample the Demo 4341340 if you want another sandbox angle.
  3. Deepen systems with Recipe Discovery and Production Line.
  4. Study fulfillment in Orders and Deliveries.
  5. Read Review Overview if you are still deciding whether the discovery-first loop is your genre.
  6. Return to the Guides Hub for the full English index.

Prologue-to-EA carry checklist

Bring these habits into Early Access week one:

  • Notebook templates for ingredient feedback.
  • Bottleneck-first spending.
  • Pilot-before-volume rule.
  • Gate path awareness.
  • Role language for co-op nights.

If you can complete the free four levels while obeying that checklist, you already know how to play Drink Factory Simulator’s heart — the Prologue did its job.
