Drink Factory Simulator Upgrade Priority Hub
Spend cash where throughput and uptime actually grow — not on vanity machines.
Drink Factory Simulator rewards disciplined spending. You discover recipes in Analysis Mode, then turn those ratios into a production line that must hit orders, survive day and night cycles, and stay online when machines break. Cash is always tight in Early Access, so this hub ranks what to buy first, not what looks coolest on the floor.
Developer Agosto Game Studio and publisher PlayWay plan Steam Early Access on August 13, 2026. Online multiplayer supports you plus up to three friends, which changes upgrade math: a solo run wants early reliability, while a co-op lobby can specialize roles and push throughput sooner. Use the pages below before you dump a windfall into the wrong station.
How we rank upgrades
Priorities here assume the core loop is live: recipe discovery, factory line, orders and deliveries, economy, workers, and repair. We weigh four factors:
- Bottleneck relief — Does this unlock more bottles per hour on the current recipe set?
- Uptime — Does it cut downtime from jams, breakdowns, or slow handoffs?
- Order reliability — Does it help you hit delivery windows instead of eating penalties?
- Unlock leverage — Does it open better recipes, workers, or line layouts soon after?
Vanity cosmetics and late-game storefront dreams sit at the bottom until the line is stable. Planned post-EA systems (retail store, open-world truck runs to port and airport) are noted on the roadmap so you do not over-invest as if they already exist.
Start here
- Early Game Priority — first cash, first machines, what to ignore until week two.
- Machine Upgrades — station-by-station tiers once the prologue habits stick.
Cross-check operations with Getting Started, Recipe Discovery, Production Line, and Orders and Deliveries. If you are still on the free Prologue (Steam app 4738020), treat upgrade ranks as training for the main game (3913840) and Demo (4341340).
Solo vs co-op spending
Solo players should front-load mixer accuracy, conveyor reliability, and one repair path so a single breakdown does not freeze the shift. Co-op groups can split Analysis Mode research, packing, and deliveries — see Co-op Setup and the Multiplayer Hub. In a three-friend lobby, upgrading the shared bottleneck (often filling or packing) beats giving everyone a personal toy station.
Economy context
Upgrades only matter if the books stay green. Pair this hub with the Economy Planner and Recipe Checklist so you know which SKUs fund the next machine. Night shifts and worker wages change the break-even point; a “cheap” upgrade that forces overtime can lose money.
What not to prioritize early
Avoid chasing every new recipe the moment Analysis Mode unlocks it. Ratios must total 100%, but a perfect formula on a starving line still misses orders. Likewise, do not hoard cash for hypothetical open-world trucks while your current dock is late every evening. For release timing and EA length (~6–12 months), read Early Access and Updates Hub.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about recipes, factory lines, and Early Access.
Is this a PvP character tier list?
No. Drink Factory Simulator is a factory sim — this hub ranks upgrade and spend priority for machines, line reliability, and early progression.
Should co-op groups use the same upgrade order as solo?
Not exactly. Solo runs need early uptime; co-op can specialize and push shared bottlenecks sooner. See Co-op Setup for role splits.
Do Prologue upgrades carry into the full game?
Treat Prologue (app 4738020) as practice for habits and ratios. Main Early Access progress lives on app 3913840 — verify save rules on Steam when EA launches.
Where should I go after picking an upgrade path?
Read Early Game Priority or Machine Upgrades, then reinforce with Production Line and Economy Planner guides.
